The University Bridge Club announces the winners of its games on April 9 and April 16.

Hosts of the April 9 game were Tom and Cathy Waller. Blue winners were: Paul Jordan, first; Florence McNicoll, second; Harold Riehm, third; Lois Liebert, fourth; and George Bocquin, fifth. Pink winners were: Carolyn Jordan, first; Kathy Fode, second; Isabell Schaake, third; Carol Smith, fourth; and Wanda Kring, fifth.

Hosts of the April 16 game were Mary Kanous and Vera Hadl. Blue winners were: Lois Liebert, first; George Bocquin, second; Dale Kring, third; Paul Jordan, fourth; and John Golden, fifth. Pink winners were: Gini Wigington, first; Dottie Miller, second; Wanda Kring, third; Florence McNicoll, fourth; and Jeanne Ellermeier, fifth.

The Wednesday Afternoon Bridge Club’s April 13 game was stratified, used the Mitchell movement and was directed by Virginia Seaver. The North-South winners were led by Chris Lane and Julia Brooks followed by Phyllis Brownlee and Virginia Eddy at second in A and first in B. Sally Taylor and Yvonne Hedges placed third in A followed by Patt Radford and Chuck Hedges.

The East-West winners were David Piro and Paul Heitzman followed by Mona Bell and Carol Ball at second in A, first in B and C. Nita Scales and Florine Creek placed third in A, second in B and second C. Shirley Reese and Shirlie Vaughn placed fourth in A and third in B.

The Wednesday Evening Bridge Club’s April 13 game was stratified, used the Howell movement and was directed by Don Brennaman. The winners were Frances Vogel and Alice Leitch followed by Mary Beth Treece and Judy Bevan. Jolene Andersen and Ilse Steinhardt were third followed by Helen Huffman and Robert Huffman. Harry Talley and Don Daugherty placed fifth.

The Monday Evening Bridge Club’s game was stratified, used the Mitchell movement and was directed by Virginia Seaver. The North-South winners were David Piro and Donna Johnson followed by Kent McCullough and Larry Bodle. Klee Zaricky and Chris Lane were third in A and first in B then Clyde Romer and Steven Phelps were fourth in A and second in B. Eldon Herd and Glenna Herd were fifth in A and third in B. Betty Spalsbury and Sam Pierron placed first in C.

The East-West winners were Jerry Sloan and Lois Clark followed by Kathy Blumenfeld and Michael Blumenfeld at second in A, first in B and first in C. John Reese and Shirley Reese placed third in A and second in B. Ann Thompson and Grant Sutton were fourth in A, third in B and second in C
