Auditions planned for youth program

Auditions for the Lawrence Arts Center’s summer youth theater program will be 3:30 p.m. April 30 and May 1.

Eighth- through 12th-graders will be auditioning for June’s production of “Les Miserables,” July’s new play production of “Kara in Black” by guest playwright Max Bush and July’s production of “To Kill a Mockingbird” to be directed by Bishop Seabury’s Don Schawang. Students should prepare a monologue and 16 bars of a song if they are auditioning for the musical.

Fourth- through seventh-graders will be auditioning for June’s production of Will Averill’s “Cinderella” and July’s production of “Free to Be You and Me,” both directed by Jennifer Glenn. Students in those grades don’t need to prepare an audition.
