KU softball blanks NU
LINCOLN, NEB. ? Kansas University freshman left-hander Christina Ross struck out five and allowed just three hits in the Jayhawks’ 2-0 Big 12 Conference softball victory Wednesday over 24th-ranked Nebraska.
Ross (9-6) earned her third shutout of the season.
KU improved to 20-18 overall, 3-7 in the Big 12. NU fell to 27-16 and 5-6.
Kansas collected seven hits off Ashley DeBuhr (17-14).
The Jayhawks scored the winning runs in the top of the fourth. Destiny Frankenstein homered, and Nettie Fierros hit an RBI double.
