Katie Pottorff scored three goals, and Regan Sisson and Laura Frizell each added two as Seabury Academy blanked Independence (Mo.) Center Place, 8-0, in high school girls soccer Tuesday at the Youth Sports Inc. fields.

Elise Stella scored the Seahawks’ other goal, and Seabury had assists from Stella, Frizell, Laura Hoffman and Erika Hierl.

Goaltenders Lindsey Ahlen and Frizell each played one half while recording the shutout.

“We capitalized on virtually every opportunity in the first half,” Seabury coach Gunar Harmon said. “We weren’t as effective in the second half, because players were playing out of position to gain some experience.”

Harmon cited the play of Wyn Cromwell, Sun Young Yoon and Laura Hoffman.

Seabury (2-3) will play host to Engelwood on Tuesday.
