Hann sets KU record
Columbia, Mo. ? Senior Brooklyn Hann broke the Kansas University record in the triple jump Saturday at the Tom Botts Invitational.
Hann’s leap of 43 feet, 7 inches broke her own record of 42-11.
Shelden Battle placed second in the shot put after a heave of 62-9.25, the fourth-best put in KU history.
Jeremy Mims won the 800-meter run in 1:47.96, Julius Jiles and Aaron Thompson were 1-2 in the 400 hurdles, Sondra Rauterkus won the high jump after a leap of 5-8.75, Amy Linnen (13-5.75) and Chris Lockard (14-7.25) won the pole vault events, and Octavia Garrett won the 400 in 54.94.
KU will participate this weekend in the Kansas Relays.
