To the editor:
To all whose votes constitutionally banned same-sex couples from the opportunities to strengthen their commitments, either in marriage or through civil unions, please spend some time in prayer meditating on the following: “Inasmuch as you have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me.” Surely you know the speaker. He’s the guy who just had another spike driven through his open hand. I’ll bet it hurt like hell.
