Willadean ‘Willie’ Istas, De Soto

Eudora ? Services for Willadean “Willie” Istas, 72, De Soto, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Eudora Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery.

Mrs. Istas died Monday, April 11, 2005, at her home.

She was born Oct. 7, 1932, in Concordia, the daughter of Andrew and Louise Bergstrom. She moved to De Soto in 1956.

Mrs. Istas worked at the De Soto High School cafeteria for many years. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the Lakeview Club in Lawrence.

She married Verle Istas on Nov. 5, 1949, in Concordia. He survives, of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Gary Istas, Bonner Springs; two daughters, Glenda Bull and Bonnie Andrews, both of De Soto; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, with a rosary at 7 p.m., at Cedar Crest Memorial Chapel in De Soto.
