Rogers services

A celebration of life for Betty Jean Rogers, 81, Boerne, Texas, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Inurnment will be at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Rogers died Tuesday, April 5, 2005, in Boerne.

She was born Aug. 25, 1923, in Lawrence, the daughter of Clarence and Ruth Hodson. She graduated from Lecompton High School in 1941.

Mrs. Rogers was a member of the Church of Christ in Lawrence since 1945.

She married Clarence Arvil Rogers on Aug. 18, 1945. He died earlier.

Survivors include a daughter, Norma Jean Usrey, Boerne; a son, Monte Ray Rogers, Lawrence; a brother, Bill Hodson, Olathe; and a sister, Sharon Engel, Pennsylvania.
