Wingert-Grammer services

Services for Donna J. Wingert-Grammer, 72, Lawrence, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial will be in Washington Creek Cemetery in southwest Douglas County.

Mrs. Wingert-Grammer died Friday, April 8, 2005, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born Dec. 20, 1932, in Douglas County, the daughter of Pearl F. and Lillie Dillon Johnson. She was a lifelong resident of the Lawrence area and graduated from Liberty Memorial High School in 1950.

Mrs. Wingert-Grammer worked as a PBX switchboard supervisor at Lawrence Memorial Hospital for 10 years. She was a member of Lone Star Church of the Brethren.

She married Clarence J. Wingert on Dec. 9, 1950. He died July 18, 1995. She married Wesley Grammer on Aug. 17, 2001. He survives, of the home.

Other survivors include a son, David Wingert, Lawrence; two daughters, Patti Konop, Manitowoc, Wis., and Rhonda Brockman, Olathe; two stepsons, Wesley Grammer Jr., Lawrence, and Rodney Grammer, Reno, Nev.; two stepdaughters, Wanda Jean Grammer, Denver, and Brenda Marie Grammer, Lawrence; a sister, Cecil Johnson, Lawrence; and five grandchildren.

Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. today.

The family suggests memorials to the church, sent in care of the funeral home.
