The Pelathe District of the Boy Scouts of America announces its 18th annual “Scouting for Food” drive. Scouts will be distributing informational fliers April 10-21 to homes in Lawrence. To participate in the food drive, residents can place nonperishable food items in a plastic or paper bag and place it on their front porch by 9 a.m. April 23. The donation will be picked up between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. by Scouts and delivered to the Salvation Army. Food collected will be shared between the Salvation Army, Penn House, Pelathe Community Resource Center, the Ballard Center and ECKAN.
