George Floyd Edmonds, Springfield, Mo.

? Graveside services for George Floyd Edmonds, 71, Strafford, Mo., will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Veterans Cemetery in Springfield.

Mr. Edmonds died Wednesday, April 6, 2005, at Strafford Care Center.

He was born June 19 1933, in Vinland, Kan., the son of Thomas and Clara Edmonds. He was a former resident of Lawrence, Kan.

Mr. Edmonds served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a former construction contractor in California and worked as a die maker for Lawrence Paper Company until he retired.

He married Barbara Brewer on Aug. 5, 1956. She survives, of Eudora, Kan.

Other survivors include a son, Dennis, Coto De Caza, Calif.; a daughter, Deanna Kempner, Hutchinson, Minn.; a sister, Velma Worley, Lawrence; and six grandchildren.

A son, Daniel Floyd, died earlier.
