The Wednesday Afternoon Bridge Club’s March 30 game used the Howell movement and was directed by Virginia Seaver. The winners were Phyllis Brownlee and Doris Stubeck, followed by Lois Clark and Catherine Blumenfeld. Nita Scales and Carol Ball placed third, followed by Patt Radford and Charles Hedges. Judy Bevan and John Gilbert placed fifth.

The Wednesday Evening Mentor Bridge Club’s March 30 game was stratified, used the Howell movement and was directed by Don Brennaman. Barbara Hamilton and Bill Hamilton placed first. Ann Thompson and Grant Sutton tied for second place with Betty Spalsbury and Bob Anderson. Harry Talley and Don Daugherty placed fourth.

The Friday Afternoon Bridge Club’s game on April 1 used the Mitchell movement, was stratified and was directed by Don Brennaman. North-South winners were Clyde Romer and Kent McCullough followed by Shirlie Vaughn and Virginia Eddy at second in A and first in B. Madelyn Jenks and Phyllis Brownlee were third in A and second in B followed by Harry Shaffer and Lynn Hui. Frances Vogel and Erna Holmes were fifth. Harry Talley and Don Daugherty placed first in C. The East-West winners were Sally Taylor and Virginia Seaver followed by Paul Heitzman and David Piro. Nita Scales and Carol Ball were third in A, first in B and first in C, followed by Russell LaForce and Lois Clark at fourth in A, second in B and second in C. Virginia Johnston and Barbara McCorkle placed fifth in A, third in B and third in C.

The Sunday Afternoon Bridge Club’s game used the Howell movement, was stratified and was directed by Eldon Herd. The winners were Peter Pitillo and Don Brennaman, followed by Virginia Hamilton and Shari Krentzel at second in A and first in B. Betty Spalsbury and Russell LaForce placed third in A and second in B. Eldon Herd and Glenna Herd placed fourth in A followed by Jerry Sloan and Bill Schutzel.

The Monday Evening Bridge Club’s game was stratified, used the Mitchell movement and was directed by Virginia Seaver. North-South winners were Kent McCullough and Larry Bodle, followed by Clyde Romer and Steven Phelps at second in A and first in B. Phyllis Brownlee and Madelyn Jenks were third in A and second in B with Carl Mibeck and Jack Mibeck placing first in C.

East-West winners were led by Terry Tolar and Lynn Hui, followed by Paul Heitzman and Donna Johnson. Peter Petillo and Don Brennaman placed third, followed by Harry Shaffer and Lois Clark.
