Thelma Almeda Boyd, Pleasant Hill

? Graveside services for Thelma Almeda Boyd, 94, Pleasant Hill, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin.

Mrs. Boyd died Monday, April 4, 2005, at Kindred Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.

She was born Aug. 16, 1910, in Carterville, the daughter of Harry Edward and Mary Norris Myers. She lived in Joplin and moved to Pleasant Hill in 1988.

Mrs. Boyd worked at Eagle-Picher during World War II. She later worked at Macy’s and Guthrie Banking Co., both in Joplin. She was a member of First Christian Church in Pleasant Hill.

She married Clarence M. Boyd on June 16, 1928, in Joplin. He died June 11, 1973.

Survivors include three sons, Donald Boyd, Independence, Mo., Lee Boyd, Pleasant Hill, and Monty Boyd, Lawrence, Kan.; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
