Services for Erma Johnson Borland, 85, Lakewood, Calif., will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Borland died Feb. 6, 2005, at Windsor Gardens Convalescent Center in Long Beach, Calif., from pneumonia and Alzheimer's disease.
She was born March 24, 1919, in Magnolia, Ark., the daughter of Samuel P. and Millie M. Bowen Holladay. She attended Lawrence public schools and lived in Lawrence for 70 years. She also had lived in California and Florida.
Mrs. Borland was a homemaker and worked for the state of Kansas at Kansas University for several years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Indian Hills Church and Rebekah Lodge 754.
She married Kenneth Johnson on Jan. 12, 1936, in Lawrence. He died July 4, 1979. She married Fred H. Borland on Nov. 13, 1981, in Lawrence. He died Feb. 1, 1985.
Survivors include three sons, Robert L. Johnson and Frederick A. Johnson, both of Lawrence, and Jerrold E. Johnson, Bedford, Texas; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
