Daniel ‘Bill’ Crownover, De Soto

De Soto ? Services for Daniel “Bill” Crownover, 83, De Soto, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Cedar Crest Memorial Chapel in De Soto.

Mr. Crownover died Saturday, April 2, 2005, at Shawnee Gardens in Shawnee.

He was born July 3, 1921, in Oklahoma.

Mr. Crownover served in the Korean War and raised horses in De Soto for many years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and De Soto Veterans of Foreign Wars, Abdullah Shriners and De Soto Methodist Church.

His wife, Betty Jane Crownover, died earlier. A daughter, Janie Crownover, also died earlier.

Survivors include two sons, Cline “Pepper,” Junction City, and Dennis, Gardner; three granddaughters, and four great-grandchildren.
