Philip Louis Bay, Scottsdale, Ariz.

Phoenix ? Mass of Christian Burial for Philip Louis Bay, 70, Scottsdale, Ariz., will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Phoenix. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Akron, Iowa.

Mr. Bay died Wednesday, March 30, 2005, in Scottsdale.

He was born July 18, 1934, in Akron, Iowa, the son of Axel and Margaret Bay. He moved to Lawrence in 1965 and to Arizona in 1985.

Mr. Bay owned the Jet Lag Restaurant and Lounge in Scottsdale, which he opened in 1986.

Survivors include a son, Donald, Phoenix; four daughters, Pamela Bay, Cynthia Butler and Barbara Bay, all of Phoenix, and Katherine Davis, Scottsdale; a brother, Jules Bay, Iowa; a sister, Claire Thuringer, Nebraska; and eight grandchildren.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church before the services.

The family suggests memorials to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix 85014.

Heritage Funeral Chapel in Peoria, Ariz., is in charge of arrangements.
