Diane L. Wise, McLouth, and Jeffrey A. Little, Colchester, Ill., were married Oct. 2, 2004, at Circle S Ranch in Lawrence with Judge Dennis Reilling officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Gary and Sandy Wise, McLouth, and Linda High, Bonner Springs. The groom is the son of Dennis and Kathy Little, McComb, Ill., and Jody and Gary Beham, Durango, Colo.

Maid of honor was Morgan Wise. Matron of honor was Janet Wise. Bridesmaid was Micki Prager. Best man was Matthew Little. Groomsmen were Gary Beham and John Wise.

Flower girls were Annika and Miranda Jones. Ring bearer was Matthew Little Jr. Guest book attendant was Amelia Little.

A reception was given at Circle S Ranch.

The bride is a graduate of McLouth High School. She received an associate’s degree at Johnson County Community College. She is a customer service supervisor at The Citizens National Bank in Lansing.

The groom is a graduate of Colchester High School, Colchester, Ill. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Western Illinois University. He is operations manager at Avery Dennison in Riverside, Mo.

The couple reside in Leavenworth.

Jordan-Wiard

Diana Jordan and Brett Wiard, both of Lawrence, were married Jan. 1, 2005, at Christ Community Church in Lawrence with the Rev. Greg Dixon officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Dean and Joyce Jordan, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Buck and Denise Wiard, Hutchinson.

Maid of honor was Kristen Jordan. Bridesmaids were Elissa Walls, Lydia Windheuser and Mindy Wiard. Groomsmen were David Coachman, Patrick Rea, Ryan Mattson and Michael Jordan. Flower girl was Hannah Dixon. Ushers were Jeff Walls, Calvin Cestari, Byron Morgan and Jon Schrag.

A reception was given at Steve’s Place in Lawrence.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of Lawrence High School. She plans to graduate in May from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Mo. She teaches high school in Northwest Arkansas.

The groom is a 1999 Pretty Prairie High School graduate. He is a 2003 graduate of Kansas University. He is a newscast director for KNWA in Fayetteville, Ark.

The couple reside in Fayetteville, Ark.

Porter-Beasterfeld

Jamie Porter and Michael Beasterfeld, both of Lawrence, were married March 12, 2005, at Graceland Chapel in Las Vegas.

The bride is the daughter of Linda Fritz, Colorado Springs, Colo., and the late James Alpha Porter. The groom is the son of Richard and Deb Beasterfeld, Belvue.

The bride’s attendant was her brother, James Porter. The groom’s attendant was Kevan Meinershagen.

A reception was given March 26 in Lawrence.

The bride is a graduate of Goodland High School. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Business Administration degree from MidAmerica Nazarene University. She is the classified manager for the Lawrence Journal-World.

The groom is a graduate of Rossville High School. He studied computer science at Kansas University and Washburn University. He is employed in the Electronic Publishing Department of Allen Press.

The couple reside in Lawrence.

Benton-Albrecht

Dorinda Benton and Marty Albrecht, both of Halstead, were married March 19, 2005, in Eden Mennonite Church in Moundridge with the Rev. Jim Ostlund officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Richard and Deanne Benton, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Keith and Mary Albrecht, Moundridge.

Maid of honor was Paula Cape. Best man was Mark Albrecht.

Bridesmaids were Brenda Paul and Stacey Cronin. Groomsmen were Alan Koller and Jeff Bathurst. Junior groomsmen were Drew Benton and Josh Benton.

The bride is a 1992 graduate of Lawrence High School. She attended Kansas University and Johnson County Community College. She is office manager for Gatz Realty & Auction in Halstead.

The groom is a 1992 graduate of Moundridge High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in agronomy from Kansas State University. He is an agronomist for Crop Quest in Halstead.

The couple reside in Halstead.
