Pauline Davis Scrivner, Lawrence

Services for Pauline Davis Scrivner, 91, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Baker Funeral home in Valley Center. Burial will be in Hammer Cemetery.

Mrs. Scrivner died Sunday, March 20, 2005, at her home.

She was born July 1, 1913, in Miller County, Mo., the daughter of Elmer Z. and Rebecca Welchonch Davis. She moved to Lawrence five to seven years ago from Valley Center, where she had lived since 1942.

Mrs. Scrivner was a homemaker.

She married Clifford Ray Scrivner on April 16, 1932, in Stoutland, Mo. He died Nov. 11, 2004.

A son, Bobby Dean Scrivner, died earlier, and a granddaughter also died earlier.

Survivors include a son, Raymond Scrivner, Plano, Texas; four daughters, Margaret Goldsmith, Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Lois Hinds, Valley Center, Joyce Leonard, Park City, and Karen Kolts-Retter, Lawrence; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family suggest memorials to the Alzheimer’s Assn. or an organization of the donor’s choice, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence.

Warren-McElwain Mortuary is in charge of local arrangements.
