Brian Keith Willich, Horton

Horton ? Mass of Christian Burial for Brian Keith Willich, 32, Gardner, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Horton. Military graveside services will be in St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery in Mercier.

Mr. Willich died Wednesday, March 30, 2005, from an automobile accident south of Leavenworth.

He was born Jan. 9, 1973, in Horton, the son of Keith and Jean Gordon Willich. He graduated from Horton High School and Brown Mackie College in Overland Park, where he played basketball.

He served in the U.S. Navy as a weapons specialist and worked as a union steward at UPS in Lenexa. He was an eagle scout.

Survivors include his parents, Horton; a daughter, Elizabeth Willich, of the home; two sisters, Joy Willich, Horton, and Kerry Velilla, Lawrence; and a significant other, Paulette Clark, Gardner.

A rosary will be recited and the will family receives friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton.
