Topeka ? Free State’s Danny Schneider and Alysha Valencia took first place in the varsity boys and girls races Saturday at the Topeka Seaman Invitational cross country meet.

Schneider won the boys race in 16:33. Free State’s Aaron Trent, Spencer Martin and Alex Rock took third, fourth and fifth, leading Free State to an easy team victory. Valencia won the girls’ two-mile race in 11:56, helping the Firebirds take second.
