Louisburg 13, Baldwin 12

? Two missed PATs proved to be the difference, but Baldwin coach Mike Berg wasn’t about to blame the Bulldogs’ first loss soley on that special team.

“That’s something we need to work on, something that has been hurting us all year and something we need to fix, because it’s going to cost us in games like this,” Berg said. “But that’s not what cost us this game. I don’t want to blame our PAT team.”

Instead, Berg blamed a host of other self-inflicted damage.

“We just shot ourselves in the foot too many times,” he said. “We had our chances throughout the game. We’d get to the 20 and fumble. We’d throw an interception, or we’d be marching in and get a penalty. It was a very physical game, but we had a lot of penalties and made a lot of mistakes. Our kids played hard, though, and we can fix our mistakes.”

Baldwin (3-1) will play host to Ottawa on Friday.
