Jefferson North 28, McLouth 0

? It wasn’t a happy homecoming for the Bulldogs, who suffered their first loss in the fourth game of the season.

“People thought I was crazy, but I thought we’d be 3-0 going into this game, and then we’d find out where we were at,” McLouth coach Harry Hester said. “We gave up some big plays, but our defense played well besides that. We got some things corrected. Being 3-1 is a lot better than 1-3.

“We made some mistakes, we corrected them. We were not physically overmatched. We just need to coach them up and get after it next week.”

Jefferson North’s Chad Mies had touchdown passes of two and 22 yards and added a 40-yard scamper of his own.

McLouth will play host to Valley Falls on Friday.
