Beta Theta Pi’s Alpha Nu chapter at Kansas University was honored at the 165th general convention in Atlanta. The chapter won the Sisson award. The chapter was one of 41 chapters to win the award by meeting 19 requirements in the areas of scholarship, philanthropy, alumni affairs and public relations.

The 81st annual Flory reunion was Sept. 19 at the Lone Star Church of the Brethren with 46 people in attendance.

Gloria Henderson, Overbrook, and Maid Montanas Style, a 1999 Sorrel American quarter horse mare, placed in the top 10 in 50 & Over Western Horsemanship at the 2004 Bayer Select World Championship Show. The show was Sept. 9-12 in Amarillo, Texas. The show is an invitational event for amateur exhibitors ages 50 and older. To qualify, exhibitors and their horses must have earned a certain number of points in American Quarter Horse Assn. shows between July 1, 2003, and June 30.
