John Leanord Sullivan

Mr. Sullivan died Monday, Sept. 20, 2004, in Dallas.

He was born Aug. 29, 1923, in Kansas City, Kan., the son of Leanord R. and Katherine Singleton Sullivan.

Mr. Sullivan was a veteran of U.S. Navy and served in the Pacific. He was director of finance for Johnson County Water District No. 1. He was a life member of Sertoma Club, a member of National Association of Accountants, Administrative Management Society and a board member of Water District No. 1. He also was chairman of Oakshire Homes Assn. and a member of American Legion in Overland Park.

He married Mary Jane Sechrest on April 13, 1947, in Kansas City, Kan. She died in 1992.

Survivors include two daughters, Kay Cowger, Bloomfield Hills, Mich., and Patricia Douglass, Raleigh, N.C.; a son, John, Allen, Texas; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to American Cancer Society or Sertoma Foundation, 1912 E. Meyer Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64132.
