Rhoda Victoria Stansell

Mrs. Stansell died Monday, Sept. 20, 2004, at Village Villa Care Center in Nortonville.

She was born April 9, 1906, in Huntsville, Ark., the daughter of James R. and Alice Bolinger Bowman. She attended grade school in Whorton Creek, Ark.

Mrs. Stansell was a member of Nortonville Christian Church.

She married George W. “Asbury” Stansell on Dec. 27, 1920, in Huntsville. He died May 8, 1973.

Two sons, George Stansell and Luther Stansell, and an infant daughter died earlier.

Survivors include two sons, Jim Stansell and Frank Stansell; seven daughters, Alpha Cohoon, Rita Navinsky, Jean Langworthy, Kay Emmerich, Eva Lee Whitecotton, Irma Sweet and Margaret Schuler; 23 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at O’Trimble Chapel in Nortonville.
