A&M next for unbeaten KU

? Despite playing its toughest nonconference schedule ever, the No. 24-ranked Kansas University volleyball team has cruised to an 8-0 record — the third-best start in program history.

The Jayhawks will begin Big 12 Conference play tonight at No. 12-ranked Texas A&M. The match will begin at 7 p.m. at White Coliseum. The 12th-ranked Aggies (5-2 overall, 1-0 Big 12) knocked off No. 8 California last week and Iowa State in their league opener Wednesday.

A&M owns a commanding 16-1 lead in the all-time series with Kansas, but KU won the last meeting with a 3-0 sweep of the Aggies last season in Lawrence that helped propel the Jayhawks to their first NCAA Tournament bid.

After tonight’s match, the Jayhawks will return home to close their nonconference slate at 1 p.m. Sunday against North Dakota State.
