KU men triumph at KSU invitational

? The Kansas University men’s cross country team won its second straight event to begin the season, taking the title Saturday at the Kansas State Wildcat Invitational.

Sophomore Tyler Kelly placed third in a time of 25:26.0 to lead the Jayhawks in the six-team field.

The KU women also participated in the event, placing fourth out of eight teams. Freshman Connie Abbott was the top KU finisher, placing 12th in 23:29.9.

KU travels Sept. 25 to Minneapolis for the Roy Griak Invitational.
