Christina Ann Parks-Kirkland

? Services for Christina Ann Parks-Kirkland, 35, Rantoul, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Dengel and Son Mortuary in Ottawa. Burial will be in Ruhamah Cemetery in Rantoul.

Mrs. Parks-Kirkland died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2004, in Rantoul.

She was born Nov. 14, 1968, in Olathe, the daughter of Ronald and Lynn Young Parks. She attended Central Heights High School and later earned her General Educational Development diploma. She was a lifelong resident of Rantoul.

Mrs. Parks-Kirkland worked as a store clerk at Texaco in Gardner and as a manager for Burger King in Lawrence. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Olathe.

She married Johnny Kirkland in Rantoul. They later divorced.

Survivors include her parents, Rantoul; two sons, Michael Ray Kirkland and Johnnie Ray Kirkland, both of Rantoul; four sisters, Terry Lynn Hoke, Ottawa, Jeana Marie Ledom and Melinda Sue Parks, both of Rantoul, and Natasha Crump, Gardner; and grandparents Maurice and Irene Parks, Holden, Mo., and Imogene Brooks, Olathe.

A grandson, Ashton Kirkland, died earlier.

Friends may call from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the mortuary, where the family will receive them from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.

The family suggests memorials to the Johnnie Ray Kirkland College Fund, sent in care of the mortuary, 234 S. Hickory, Ottawa 66067.
