At a time when network news is in retreat and cable news channels strive to capture the anger and ignorance of talk radio, the series “Frontline” (8 p.m., PBS) remains a journalistic gem. “Frontline” moves to Tuesday nights this season and debuts with “Sacred Ground,” a look at the controversial plans to rebuild at the ground zero site of New York’s World Trade Center.

• Prospective boxing palookas vie for the chance to become “The Next Great Champ” (8 p.m., Fox). Catch this while you can, since the show is the subject of a lawsuit between Fox and NBC. NBC argues that Fox stole their idea for a similar show featuring Sylvester Stallone.
• If it’s Tuesday, it must be DVD day. The following TV shows are available on disc today: the first seasons of “Magnum, P.I.,” “Columbo,” the revised 2002 “Twilight Zone,” “Without a Trace” and “Everwood.”
