KU wins pair at ORU tourney

? Kansas University’s volleyball squad improved to 4-0 and won the championship of the Oral Roberts Classic on Saturday, beating host ORU and North Texas by 3-0 counts.

The Jayhawks routed North Texas in their opening match, winning 30-19, 30-18, 30-21. Josi Lima led KU with nine kills.

The nightcap was a slightly closer match, but KU still dominated, winning 30-21, 32-30, 30-18. Jana Correa led the Jayhawks with 12 kills, and Lima added 10 kills. Freshman Emily Brown, a Baldwin High product, added 10 digs.

The Jayhawks next play Friday in the Jayhawk Classic. KU will play Rhode Island at noon and Wisconsin at 7 p.m.
