11:51 — FG 28 Brad DeVault. Tulsa took over at its own 39 after a KU punt. James Kilian completed a 24-yard pass to Jermaine Landrum and scrambled 17 yards on the next play. The drive stalled at the 11 after a penalty and three incompletions. (Tulsa 3, KU 0)

:13 — FG 51 Johnny Beck. Jermial Ashley recovered a Tulsa fumble at the Hurricane’s 35 with 1:16 to play. The Jayhawks couldn’t advance the ball, but Beck — who missed a 45-yarder in the first quarter — tied it with his long field goal into the wind. (KU 3, Tulsa 3)

Third Quarter

10:46 — FG 20 Beck. Greg Heaggans returned the second-half kickoff 55 yards to Tulsa’s 44. Adam Barmann completed a 17-yard pass to Brandon Rideau and a 12-yarder to Mark Simmons before the drive stalled at the 2. (KU 6, Tulsa 3).

2:42 — Charles Gordon 7 pass from Barmann. John Randle carried on five straight plays for a total of 35 yards, and Tulsa aided KU’s 10-play, 80-yard drive with two penalties. Kick failed. (KU 12, Tulsa 3)

Fourth Quarter

12:10 — Safety. A KU drive stalled at Tulsa’s 2-yard line, but on Tulsa’s first play after the change of possession, Tim Allen sacked Kilian in the end zone. (KU 14, Tulsa 3)

8:42 — Barmann 1 run. Kevin Kane intercepted a Kilian pass and returned it 18 yards to Tulsa’s 2. Three plays later, Barmann scored from a yard out. Beck kick. (KU 21, Tulsa 3).
