Seabury soccer falls in tournament opener

? Seabury Academy’s boys soccer team will try to bounce back today after falling to Platte County, Mo., 5-1, Tuesday in the first round the Barstow Invitational.

Seabury (1-1) will meet K.C. Lutheran at 5:45 p.m. today.

The Seahawks led 1-0 at halftime of Tuesday’s match after Aaron Chung scored off an assist from Max Cannon. However, Platte County scored five goals in the first 15 minutes of the second half.

Goalkeeper Paul Bireta had 13 saves. Seabury coach Brian Clyne also cited the midfield work of Peter Zemansky.
