KU golf moving up in Arkansas

? Kansas University’s women’s golf team climbed two spots to eighth place after shooting a 310 during the second round of the 19-team Lady Razorback Invitational at Pinnacle Country Club.

The Jayhawks’ two-round total of 626 lags behind Iowa State’s leading score of 601 and Missouri’s 611.

KU junior Tiffany Woods leads KU after shooting a second-round 75 to move into a tie for 20th. Junior Chelsey Pryor (75) is tied for 34th; sophomore Amanda Costner and freshman Annie Giangrosso are tied for 39th after firing second round 80s; and sophomore Jill Womble (82) is tied for 47th.

“It was very windy out on the course today,” KU coach Erin O’Neil said. “We moved up a couple of spots but we hope to improve even more tomorrow.”

Kansas will begin the final round at 9 this morning.
