Jayhawks trim Tigers

? For the third straight time, Kansas University’s soccer team has gone into Missouri’s Walton Complex and come home a winner against the Tigers.

The 10th-ranked Jayhawks whacked Mizzou, 3-1, Friday night as Amy Geha, Nicole Braman and Kim Karfonta notched goals for KU.

Kansas (12-2 overall, 4-1 Big 12 Conference) beat MU twice last season, including a 2-0 victory in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Geha struck first at the 31:39 mark when she buried a shot after MU (5-7-1, 2-3) failed to clear a KU corner kick. Braman upped the lead to 2-0 just before halftime when she fired a shot that deflected off a Missouri defender and ricocheted into the net.

Karfonta scored on a header off a pass from Geha in the 90th minute.
