Rain expected overnight

If you’ve been hoping for some rainfall, you won’t have to wait long — damp weather is in the forecast starting tonight, says Jennifer Schack, 6News meteorologist.

“We’ll see some showers late tonight, lasting throughout the day tomorrow,” Schack said. “Tomorrow is kind of a damp day.”

This morning, temperatures were starting out in the upper 40s and were expected to climb to a high today of 73 by late afternoon, Schack said. Skies will become increasingly cloudy throughout the day, she said.

The National Weather Service predicts a 20 percent chance of showers after 1 p.m. today and a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms tonight. The chance for showers and thunderstorms is 60 percent on Thursday and 50 percent Thursday night. There’s also a 30 percent chance of showers Friday, mainly before 1 p.m.

Thursday’s morning low will be 56, with the high reaching 69. Friday’s morning low will be 54, with the temperature climbing to a high of 69.

There’s also a chance for an isolated thunderstorm late Saturday night, Schack said.
