Curb war protests

To the editor:

It is not fair that the people in this country continue to protest about the war in Iraq. I pray that no political party plays politics about this war in Iraq; the general election is coming Nov. 2. This war, whether it was right that it started or it was wrong, the fact is, the war is there. Hundreds of thousands of brave men and women in the coalition forces are fighting for peace and the freedom of people in Iraq who were ruled by a tyrant for decades.

To the protesters, you have enjoyed the freedoms in this wonderful country. Instead of rallying with the other people in the streets, you should go to a church or synagogue and pray for the safety of the soldiers and also that the insurgents leave Iraq. The soldiers need a whole lot of our prayers and support.

A lot of people in this country are dying because of drugs, alcohol, accidents and some killing each other every day. What are they dying for? Dear good people, pray for the safety of the soldiers in Iraq and that the insurgents leave Iraq so the provisional government can function in peace and freedom and democracy will hold forever. The soldiers are fighting there for the love of their country, the United States of America. Some of the soldiers died, but they did not die in vain. They are fighting there for peace, freedom and democracy for the people in Iraq.
