Herren services

Mrs. Herren died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born Sept. 10, 1918, in Lawrence, the daughter of James T. and Mary Grace Baldwin Farley. She was a lifelong Lawrence resident.

Mrs. Herren was a homemaker and worked as a bus driver for Lawrence public schools. She also ran a preschool. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

She married Harold Herren on Sept. 5, 1936, in Lawrence. He died Sept. 12, 1985.

A daughter, Yvonne H. Edmondson, died June 11, 1991, and a son, Dennis Herren, died June 8, 1978.

Survivors include a son, David Herren, Topeka; a brother, Eben B. Farley, Lawrence; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary.

The family suggests memorials to the American Lung Assn., sent in care of the mortuary.
