Gerald D. Felts Jr.

? Services for Gerald D. Felts Jr., 49, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Swaim Funeral Home in Dodge City. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence followed by a memorial cruise.

Mr. Felts died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, in Lawrence.

He was born Feb. 18, 1955, in Dodge City, the son of Gerald D. and Joyce Morley Felts. He graduated from Dodge City High School in 1973 and attended Dodge City Community College.

Mr. Felts owned a NAPA store in Dodge City for 20 years. In 1997 he purchased the NAPA store in Lawrence and operated it until 2002.

He was a member of the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce, National Wild Turkey Federation, Lawrence Street Rod Assn., Antique Auto Racers Assn. and American Bikers Aimed Toward Education.

He married Susan Kay Trenkle on May 11, 1979, in Shawnee. She survives, of the home.

Other survivors include three daughters, Kristi Alexander, Shanna Felts and Jenny Felts, all of Lawrence; his mother, Dodge City; a brother, William, Dodge City; and three sisters, Anita Inskeep, Pueblo, Colo., and Alita Felts and Tina Keeton, both of Hoisington.

Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. today at Swaim Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorials to Lawrence Christian Center or American Lung Assn. for Asthma Purposes, sent in care of either funeral home.
