Marlin Lee Milner

? Services for Marlin Lee Milner, 53, Oskaloosa, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Oskaloosa United Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery in Oskaloosa.

Mr. Milner died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, at a Topeka hospice house.

He was born May 3, 1951, in Fairbury, Neb., the son of Billie and Florence May Hardenburger Milner. He had lived in Oskaloosa since 1963.

He was a 1969 graduate of Oskaloosa High School and attended Highland Community College.

Mr. Milner worked for Westar Energy Co. for 27 years, where he was senior manager of generation marketing and trading. He formerly worked as a plant operator and control room operator at the Lawrence Energy Center.

He was a member of the Lucky Spur Saddle Club in Oskaloosa, as well as the American Quarter Horse Assn. and the Appaloosa and Paint Horse Assn.

He married Connie D. Stephens Tucker on Dec. 1, 1990, in Oskaloosa. She survives, of the home.

Survivors also include his mother, of Oskaloosa; five sons, Chad, Clayton and Ryan, and Justin Tucker, all of Oskaloosa, and Nicholas, Mayetta; two daughters, Lacey Bergerhofer, Kearney, Mo., and Caitlin Milner, Oskaloosa; two brothers, LaVon, Wichita, and Kerwin, San Antonio; a sister, Sandra Polak, Wichita; and four grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Barnett Funeral Home in Oskaloosa. The family suggests memorials to Midland Hospice House, in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 416, Oskaloosa 66066.
