Valley Falls — Services for Margaret A. Herbster, 76, Valley Falls, were Tuesday at Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls. She was buried Wednesday at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Church cemetery in Valley Falls.
Mrs. Herbster died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2004, at Holton Community Hospital.
She was born Oct. 12, 1928, in Rulo, Neb., the daughter of Bernard and Mary Santo Wissman. She graduated from Rulo High School in 1946. She moved to Valley Falls in 1957.
Mrs. Herbster was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Church and St. Mary's Altar Society.
She married Glenn E. Herbster on Dec. 14, 1948, in Rulo. He died Jan. 23, 1997.
Survivors include three sons, Dick Herbster and Ron Herbster, both of Valley Falls, and Steve Herbster, Topeka; a daughter, Mary Beth Holland, Topeka; two sisters, Mary Carr, Falls City, Neb., and Josephine Jimeson, Hiawatha; and six grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Jefferson County Emergency Medical Services District 11 in Valley Falls, sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 6, Valley Falls 66088.
