Glenn M. Elliott

? Services for Glenn M. Elliott, 84, Lawrence, were at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Welda United Methodist Church. Burial was in Welda Cemetery.

Mr. Elliott died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2004, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

He was born April 24, 1920, in Welda, the son of Guy C. and Fern B. Collins Elliott. He graduated from Welda High School in 1938. He lived in the Chapman and Abilene area for 15 years before moving to Lawrence in 1965. He moved to Welda in 1980 to live on the family farm, where he lived until 2000.

Mr. Elliott served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Japan. He worked in sales until 1980 and in farming and oil production from 1980 to 2000. He was an active member of the Lions Club and Shriners.

He married Dorothy Jenkins on May 31, 1941, in Iola. She survives, of the home.

Other survivors include two daughters, Glenda Whalen, Lawrence, and Jeanne Elliott, Denver; two sisters, Helen Neumann, Hesston, and Mary Cross, Overland Park; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

The family suggests memorials to the church or Alzheimer’s Assn. Farris Feuerborn Memorial Chapel in Garnett is in charge of arrangements.
