Services for E. Marie Carlson, 88, Lawrence, will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Maple Grove Cemetery in Lecompton.

Mrs. Carlson died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004, at Lawrence Presbyterian Manor.

She was born June 22, 1916, in Enid, Okla., the daughter of Vernon and Mary Etta Moore Williams. She had lived in Lawrence since 1938.

Mrs. Carlson worked as an assembler at Hallmark Cards and later at Stokley Van Camp, both in Lawrence. She also helped with the family farm northeast of Lawrence.

She married Elmer "E.C." Carlson on June 5, 1938, in Olathe. He died July 8, 1990.

Survivors include a daughter, Darla Cox, Lawrence; a son, Chris Carlson, McLouth; three sisters, Thel Merriman, Sybil Morris and Ann May, all of Hiawatha; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family will greet friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, sent in care of the mortuary.
