Ottawa Services for Patricia Josephine Harkins, 90, Ottawa, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Carnegie Cultural Center, 515 S. Main in Ottawa. A private family Funeral Mass was Oct. 10 at Sacred Heart Church in Ottawa. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Ottawa.
Mrs. Harkins died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born Jan. 17, 1914, in Allegany, N.Y., the daughter of Joseph F. and Mary Jones Krampf. She lived in New York, Nowata, Okla., Chanute and Iola before moving to Ottawa in 1945. She graduated from St. Elizabeth Academy in Allegany with the class of 1930. She also graduated from nursing training in Buffalo, N.Y.
Mrs. Harkins worked as an X-ray technician for 13 years at Ransom Memorial Hospital and for eight years at Professional Plaza Lab. She retired in 1979. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church.
She married Arthur T. Harkins on Sept. 20, 1934, in Allegany. He died Nov. 14, 1968.
Survivors include three sons, Arthur Harkins, St. Paul, Minn., Daniel Harkins, Newport Beach, Calif., and Joseph Harkins, Lawrence; three daughters, Mary Harkins, Plymouth, Mass., Susan Allen, Lawrence, and Lisa Daniels, Ottawa; a sister, Irene Krampf, Allegany; 24 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Lawrence Memorial Hospital, sent in care of Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa 66067.
