— Three people traveling with the New England Patriots received minor injuries Sunday when their buses collided on the way to the team's hotel.

The team and its staff were traveling in a five-bus convoy after arriving at the airport about 4:15 p.m. for tonight's game against the Chiefs.

They were driving to the hotel when the third bus braked suddenly. The fourth bus braked in response and was hit by the fifth bus, which couldn't slow in time, team spokesman Stacey James said.

James did not identify the injured, but said two were flight attendants from the team's Delta Air Lines charter flight, and the third was on the Patriots' television crew.

Supervisor Linda Castle of the Kansas City Police Department said the buses ran into each other on Interstate 29, north of the Missouri River.
