OU won’t be paid for Arrowhead game

Oklahoma University will receive no money for playing Kansas University in football Oct. 15, 2005, at Arrowhead Stadium.

“It’s our home game, and we decide where to play it.” KU athletic department spokesman Jim Marchiony said. “Oklahoma does not share in the revenue.”

Under Big 12 Conference rules, schools are entitled to all of the revenue from home football games. Visiting teams receive nothing.

KU officials announced earlier this week that the scheduled 2005 home game with the Sooners in Lawrence would be moved to the Kansas City, Mo., facility.
