Services for Harry Rayton Jr., 57, Topeka, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Second Christian Church in Lawrence. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Rayton died Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, at a hospice in Topeka.
He was born Nov. 22, 1946, in Lawrence, the son of Harry and Freda Morton Rayton Sr. He had lived in Topeka for 13 years.
Mr. Rayton boxed in Golden Gloves and later turned professional. He was a member of Second Christian Church.
He married Ann Reese on Aug. 13, 1965, in Lawrence. She died Feb. 24, 1997.
Survivors include two sons, Harry III and Wesley Sr., both of Topeka; four daughters, Carla Rayton-Thomas, Lawrence, and Rosanna Rayton, Tamala Rayton-James and Natasha Demby, all of Topeka; seven brothers, Marvin, Clarksville, Tenn., William and Leonard, both of Wichita, Charles, Clarence and Larry, all of Lawrence, and Gary, Topeka; five sisters, Gloria Marshall, Las Vegas, Barbara Barfield, Denver, Janette Peterson, Oceanside, Calif., and Joyce Muhammad and Alfreda Rayton, both of Topeka; special friend, Carol Eagleman, Topeka; and 29 grandchildren.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday at the church.
The family suggests memorials to the Harry Rayton Jr. Memorial Fund, sent in care of Bowser-Johnson Funeral Chapel, 723 S.W. Sixth Ave., Topeka 66603.
