Clinton Eagles 4-H Club had its achievement celebration Oct. 30 at the Heine home. The event included a potluck supper and hayrack ride. The meeting was called to order by Haven Bouton, president. Members answered roll call by naming their favorite food. Lindsey Fangman and Kasey Waite led the group in singing. The club received thank-you notes from Martha Parker and the Douglas County Foundation.

Kirstyn Heine gave the treasurer’s report. Simon Fangman gave the reporter’s report. Michelle Colgan gave the county council report and a parliamentarian lesson. Morgan Manger, historian, announced that pictures had been taken for crafts.

Lanaea Heine discussed the following topics and events: 4-H achievement celebration, 4-H 101, state fair money, Bromelsick party and officer training. The club’s float received fourth place in the Maple Leaf parade.

Kim Hubbell said she would volunteer to coordinate a skit for County Club Days. Denise Snodgrass talked about the club’s project for the Festival of Trees. Michelle Colgan talked about planting trees with the Clinton Lake Historical Society.

Members voted to buy T-shirts for new members. Kahlynn Heine, vice president, initiated new members Ryan Schraeder and Dillon Schraeder. Marilyn Colgan, leader, distributed pin awards.

The achievement committee recognized the following people: Marilyn Colgan, Lanaea Heine, Rod Heine, Pat Hubbell, Kim Hubbell, Derek Welsh and Brenda Welsh.

The next meeting will be at 4 p.m. Dec. 5. The club will go Christmas caroling.
