Kansas swim team corrals five signees

Molly Brammer, a multiple state champion from Blue Springs (Mo.) High, heads a class of five Kansas University swim signees.

“She will come in and make an immediate impact in the 500, 1000 and 1650 frees as well as the 400 IM,” KU coach Clark Campbell said. Brammer’s high school coach is former KU swimmer Robert Sturman.

Also signing with the Jayhawks were:

  • Jessica Brozek of Great Bend, a middle distance freestyler.
  • Ashley Leidigh of Shawnee Mission North, a butterflyer and sprint freestyler
  • Rhynn Malloy of Holden, Mass., a breaststroker and IM specialist
  • Kendall Matous of Blue Valley North, a butterflyer and freestyler.

Kansas University’s swimmers will be in Chapel Hill, N.C., Thursday through Saturday to compete in the Nike Cup.
