Dress for drizzle

Cloudy skies, high humidity and warmer temperatures were bringing some light drizzle, mist and even some patchy fog this morning to the Lawrencea area.

“It might not be on the radar, but we do have some,” said Jennifer Schack, 6News meteorologist. “I would dress for a drizzle.”

Lawrence received 0.02 of an inch of precipitation Monday afternoon, she said. More of the same mix of precipitation was expected today and Wednesday under mostly cloudy skies, Schack said.

“We’ll have some more drizzle tonight; some more drizzle tomorrow,” she said. “By Thursday our chances for some steady rainfall increase.”

Lawrence’s temperature was starting out in the 50s this morning and was expected to climb to the low 60s.

“We should top off at 62 about 2 p.m.,” Schack said. Relatively warm temperatures are in the forecast for the next few days, she said.

The overnight low will drop to 53 by early Wednesday morning, with Wednesday’s high reaching 62. Thursday’s morning low will be 51, with the high reaching 56.
