Continuing his pinballing from average to great, Journal-World sports editor Chuck Woodling bounced back to a 5-1 record in this week’s Wanna Whack Woodling? contest on KUsports.com.

Woodling correctly predicted the outcome of all five Big 12 Conference games, but missed Auburn’s victory over Georgia.

Even with such a good record, Woodling was beaten by 15 contestants with 6-0 records. Two of those 15 were Jen Alimagno of Lenexa and Brandon Myers of Prairie Village, who tied for the victory after predicting the final score of the Kansas-Texas game within six points.

Seventy-one other participants tied Woodling’s 5-1 mark.
